Calgary is hosting the 2024 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games from February 27 – March 2, 2024
The Special Olympics Canada Winter Games, held every 4 years, provide opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities to compete at a national level. These games are part of a global movement to promote inclusivity, respect, and human dignity through sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
This year, athletes who qualified in Provincial and Territorial games will compete in eight sports at different venues across Calgary – 5-Pin Bowling, Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Floor Hockey, Snowshoeing, and Speed Skating.
