Westley Gives Back: Lemon Light Up

Over $10,000 Raised for the Love for Lewiston Foundation
Updated Summer 2023 – Our second annual Lemon Light Up will take place November 23, 2023!
The Westley Hotel’s first annual Lemon Light Up tree lighting ceremony was a huge success!
Over the past few weeks, our team has transformed the lobby of The Westley with a beautiful holiday tree decorated with white, gold, and a lot of lemons! The lemon theme is inspired by Love For Lewiston’s Lemonade Stand, which made an appearance at our event.
The Lemon Light Up also featured a silent auction with items donated by Chairman’s Steakhouse, Silver Hotel Group, Blackstone Mountain Lodge, Select Wines, Thank You Hospitality, Vine Arts, Calgary Jazz Orchestra, and Eighty-Eight Brewing Co. We had live music performed by youth members of the Calgary Jazz Orchestra, and cocktails and tapas provided by Fonda Fora.
“Since the beginning of our partnership with Love for Lewiston, there was always a strong desire to have a fruitful partnership with the Foundation,” said Jeanette Poty, general manager. “To be able to give back to such a remarkable organization that’s focused on children and families impacted by SMA – it’s opportunities like these that truly capture the gift of giving, especially during the holiday season.”
About the cause:
SMA is the number one genetic cause of infant mortality, and the Love for Lewiston Foundation seeks to find a cure for this devastating condition. The Westley Hotel is also proud to partner with the Love for Lewiston Foundation, helping to bring joyful experiences to those families most in need.
We were thrilled with the success of our Lemon Light Up event, and can’t wait for next year!
