Getting Around: e-Scooters & e-Bikes
June 16, 2022
Electric scooters took Calgary by storm a few years ago, and now they offer one of the best ways to see the city. Calgary offers both e-Scooters and e-Bikes from Bird and Neuron as part of the city’s shared micromobility program.
Enjoy a smooth ride through Prince’s Island Park, across the very insta-worthy Peace Bridge, or down bustling Stephen Avenue.
These e-Scooters are speed-limited to 20kph for safety, have lights for use at night, and are to be used on the sidewalks (not the roads!) – and while doubling up might be something you see other folks doing, we strongly advise only one person per scooter to ensure you can maintain control and have a safe, fun experience.
Neuron offers e-Scooters that are generally equipped with helmets, and you can download their app online.
You can also download the Bird App (no, not that bird app) and be ready to ride in minutes.
When you’re all scooted out for the day, there’s a station to park the scooters right in front of the Westley Hotel!
